New Medical Facility near McHenry New Homes

McHenry County residents can now make appointments at the newest health care center near our McHenry new homes. It’s located at 3901 Mercy Drive, just south of Bull Valley Road and to the east of Centegra Hospital. This new facility will provide quality affordable health care to the uninsured and underinsured residents of the county.

Board certified physicians will offer pediatric, family medicine, obstetric and gynecological care including sick care, well-baby care and chronic disease management. A full service laboratory will be offered in the Health Center by Centegra Health System, and the county’s health department will offer case management services. Hours are Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The city of McHenry offers the best in medical and emergency health care. Both the fire and rescue services have received awards for their excellent response and care. This is just one of the reasons that make McHenry the perfect place for you and your family. Continue reading →

Lake Geneva Winterfest and Carnival Bring Fun Near Our Williams Bay Homes

It’s winter, but there’s no need to be stuck in doors. Right around the corner from our Williams Bay homes at Bailey Estates, Lake Geneva has tons of activities to get you in the winter spirit including the Winter Carnival at the Mountain Top at Grand Geneva as well as the 16th Annual Winterfest and United States Nationals Snow Sculpting Competition.

The Winter Carnival festivities begin on Saturday, Feb. 4 at 11 a.m. and last until 8 p.m. Attendees can attend activities throughout the day such as ski school and ski patrol demonstrations, scavenger hunts, snowboard competitions, snow games and more. The day concludes with a torch light parade and fireworks display.

That same day, make sure to check out the magnificent snow sculptures at the Winterfest and United States Nationals Snow Sculpting Competition. The event will feature music, magic, refreshments, snow sculptures and more.

Groundhog Days Celebrates Movie Phenomenon Near Our McHenry New Homes

More than 15 years ago near our McHenry new homes, Woodstock, Ill. was the backdrop to the hit Bill Murray movie, Groundhog Day. The event sparked a phenomenon that continues to bring excitement and wonder every Groundhog Day, and this year is no different. To celebrate the filming of this popular movie, Groundhog Days returns with festivities from Jan. 29 through Feb. 5. Many of these events are free, so bring your whole family out to observe whether or not Woodstock Willie sees his shadow.

The festivities kick off on Sunday, Jan. 29 with the Woodstock Lions Club pancake breakfast, and a free showing of Groundhog Day. The cost for the pancake breakfast is $6 for adults, $3 for children 6-10 and free for children under the age of 6.

Other events include “Welcoming of the Groundhog” where Woodstock Willie will greet spectators from the balcony of the Opera House; Groundhog Prognostication where Woodstock Willie will emerge to discover, or not to discover, his shadow; walking tours; a chili cook-off and more. Continue reading →

Jim and Dee Hamill purchase Jefferson floor plan at Bailey Estates

We have seen a lot of activity and interest in our Williams Bay homes at Bailey Estates in Wisconsin. The end of the year has been good to us, and we’re excited to welcome our newest residents, Jim and Dee Hamill.

Jim Hamill is a retired Chicago police officer and Dee Hamill is an administrative assistant at a manufacturing company. The couple has resided in the Williams Bay area for approximately 14 years. Before moving to Bailey Estates, Jim and Dee lived in a gated community with Homeowners Association dues. However, the fees were steadily increasing, so the coupled decided it was time to move.

After doing some research into our company, and talking it over with a relative who is an architect and also lives in one of our new home communities, Jim and Dee decided to purchase a Gerstad Builders home. Continue reading →

Bryan White is an award-winning vocalist who has topped the Billboard’s Country Charts with 17 singles. He has joined forces with artists such as Shania Twain, and was named as one of People Magazine’s 50 Most Beautiful People. For this performance, Bryan will be joined by special guest Anna Johnson.

The holidays are here in full swing, and with all the parties and festivities happening in and around your Richmond new homes it’s more important than ever to be aware of what you’re eating and drinking. It’s not necessary to practice complete denial, but all of these parties really can blow the success you’ve had up to this point.

Some helpful hints are to remember all of the simple basics:

->Don’t skip meals (you’ll probably eat more when you do eat).

->Exercise portion control and don’t overfill your plate (you’ll be compelled to finish everything even when you’re full).

->Eat slowly, enjoy the company and take your time.

->Put down your fork and chew thoroughly between bites plus adding a large glass of water will help.

->Sit with people who will help you relax and enjoy their company as much as the food.

In addition to decorating your McHenry new homes, baking and shopping for presents to put under the tree, what other holiday traditions do you have? If taking time out of your busy schedule to watch The Nutcracker Ballet at the Raue Center isn’t one of them, then now is the time to start a new tradition.

This weekend, in collaboration with Berkshire Ballet Theatre, the Raue Center is putting on yet another spectacular performance of this time-honored holiday tradition. On Saturday, Dec. 17 at 3 p.m. and again 7 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 18 at 4 p.m., audiences will be delighted with the sounds and sights of the season as The Nutcracker combines Tchaikovsky’s unforgettable music with poignant dancing and extravagant costumes.
