Let’s Head Back to School
The back-to-school season is quickly approaching! Normally, this time is full of shopping for school supplies and new clothes, but this year may look a bit different. Instead, you may be shopping for masks, hand sanitizer, and computer batteries. To make this time a little easier, we’ve put together this article with everything you need to know about the school district closest to your Gerstad home.
First, let’s take a look at what’s happening near Liberty Trails! If you live in this neighborhood, McHenry School District 15 is likely the district your children belong to. You can find your child’s list of supplies on this website. Additionally, District 15 has shared their plan for in-person learning on the site. According to the district website, all schools must resume fully in-person learning for all student attendance days starting with the 2021-22 school year. However, remote instruction will be made available for students who have not yet received a COVID-19 vaccine. This will remain true only while the student is under quarantine consistent with guidance or requirements from a local public health department or the Illinois Department of Public Health. Here’s a little more about the current CDC and IDPH guidelines for K-12 Schools and COVID-19 prevention.
If you are a part of McHenry High School District 156, here’s what you need to know! In terms of COVID-19 protocols, the district is excited to welcome most students back into the buildings for in-person instruction! You can learn more about the rules and regulations surrounding the return to in-person instruction on the District 156 website.
Up next, we’ve got Bailey Estates and the William’s Bay School District. Did you know that the Williams Bay Athletics Booster Club is having a golf outing? Come on out to Delbrook Golf Course on Friday, August 13 to participate in this fun event. You can find more information about the golf outing and fish fry lunch here. Also, student registration is now open for the 2021-2022 school year. Registration information can be found here. The Williams Bay School District has also created some great school supply lists for both elementary and middle school students!
Trails of Dawson Creek
Residents of the Trails of Dawson Creek will likely belong to the North Boone Community School District. According to the district’s website, all schools in this district will resume with students in-person. At this time, they are anticipating that social distancing recommendations, masks, and quarantines will still be in place. Additionally, you can now register your child for the 2021-22 school year! Get your child enrolled safely and easily from the comfort of your own home!
Trails of Pheasant Ridge
Last but not least, we have the Trails of Pheasant Ridge! Residents in this community will likely send their children to one of the great schools in Nippersink School District 2 for the residents of our Richmond community. As of now, all schools are set for in-person learning this year!
