Halloween is quickly approaching and you have not had time to decorate. However, it is not too late to add some fright to your home to delight all the trick-or-treaters. Gerstad Builders has some great last minute ideas that will be easy and can be used next year.

Hanging Bats

Welcome the neighborhood trick-or-treaters with an array of hanging spooky bats. These are simple to make with a template, black construction paper and tape. So simple!

Pumpkin Decorating

Take a trip to a craft store and purchase some Halloween stickers of all varieties. Consider picking out insect stickers to create that extra spooky look. This is a fun way to decorate your pumpkin without the mess! Plus they will last longer.

Glow Stick Brooms

Here is another great decorating idea. Purchase some glow stick bracelets, glue and black paper. Cut the pieces of paper in vertical stripes, fold the paper onto the glow stick and fan out to look like a broom. Crack the glow stick and hang on the wall and dim the lights.

Lollipop Ghosts

Gather up a black paint pen, twine and white Kleenex. Wrap the lollipop in Kleenex and tie the bottom with the twine to create a head. Use the black paint pen and put eyes and a mouth. These can be given out to trick-or-treaters.

Balloon Decorations

Using balloons as decorations is another easy decorating idea. Purchase green and orange balloons, and once blown up it is time to decorate. Use glue to stick on googly eyes and black construction paper to create a scary face.

Trash Bag Spider

Put the kids to work for this decoration. Grab rakes and rake up all the leaves in your yard and put them inside one plastic bag as the body. To make the legs, cut the trash bags into thin plastic stripes and place the spider wherever you want!
