Halloween Haunting Fun on the Haunted Hayride
Halloween! For some, trick or treating, eating candy and wearing a costume is the perfect Halloween. What if you like to be scared by ghoulish people? You head over to one of the best Halloween attractions in McHenry County, the Haunted Hayride run by the Wonder Lake Water Ski Show Team!
The Haunted Hayride is open to the public starting on Friday, October 11 – and will be in business on Oct 12th, 18th and 19th from 7 until 10:30 p.m. This annual event brings in thousands of thrill seekers who board the wagon and take the 20 minute ride around Petersen Park. The Wonder Lake Water Ski Show Team have all dressed the part, and are waiting to spook and scare the riders! You never know who might jump out at you – it could even be Henry Deadwood himself who emerges from the Deadwood Forest, where he and his group of ghosts, spirits and goblins entertain you on this spooktacular ride. Don’t be surprised if you hear lots of screams!
Entry admission is $10 per person, with free parking available, and a part of the proceeds for each ticket sold is donated to a local charity! In addition to the hayride itself, there are vendors on-site selling various refreshments to keep everyone full and happy. The Haunted Hayride is perfect for children ages 10 and up, so it is perfect for the whole family to enjoy.
