Cruise into a Classic Car Summer in McHenry

McHenry and nearby cities burst with car shows and cruise nights all summer to celebrate these beauties and connect with fellow enthusiasts.

  • Fiesta Days Car Show: As part of the McHenry Fiesta Days celebration, enjoy a classic car show at Petersen Park on Sunday, July 14 between 8am and 2:30pm. Celebrating 40 years of fun in 2024, the show includes hundreds of cars – all viewable at no cost!
  • Cars Time Forgot: The 19th annual iteration of this show is happening in Delavan, Wisconsin July 12-14 this year! The three-day celebration includes live music, a parade and more, all leading up the main event – the car show on Sunday, July 14 from 8am – 3pm at Lake Lawn Airport
  • Cruise the Moose: Happening every Tuesday from May 14 through September 17, this local favorite event features a theme each week ranging from Antique (Pre-1950s) cars to Pony cars, offering a little something for every type of car enthusiast. Held at the Moose Lodge in Johnsburg, events start at 5pm each week.
  • Cary Cruise Nights: Every Wednesday evening from June 5 to August 14, downtown Cary’s West Main Street transforms into a haven for classic car lovers. This long-running event, the county’s most established cruise night, lets you admire an array of meticulously maintained vehicles.
  • Miller’s Dog & Suds Drive-In: Calling all fans of classic cars, live music and delicious food! On Saturday, July 6, Miller’s Dog n’ Suds in Ingleside hosts Conviction, a Kenosha, Wisconsin, cover band known for a diverse setlist spanning the 1970s to today’s hits. Don’t miss it!
  • Barrington Farmers Market & Thursday Night Out: Formerly known as Cruise Night, the Village of Barrington’s Thursday Night Out offers a reimagined experience in the heart of downtown. Every Thursday, June 6 to August 15, Cook and Station streets come alive with classic cars, live music and endless family fun. Browse the Barrington Farmers Market for fresh produce and handcrafted goods, indulge in food trucks and let the kids enjoy balloon artistry and face painting. This event is perfect for gathering with loved ones and celebrating community spirit.
