The Haunted Hayride Makes Its Way Back to McHenry
A classic way to enjoy the fall weather and Halloween season in McHenry is with the popular Wonder Lake Water Ski Show’s haunted hayride. Thrill-seekers of McHenry County are encouraged to come to the annual fundraiser where they will board a wagon and be driven over the land at Petersen Park. Join us on this spooktacular ride as Henry Deadwood emerges from Deadwood Forest, where he and his gangling group of misfits entertain spirits, ghosts and goblins, leading to squeals, scares and screams.
Beginning Friday, October 12 from 7 to 10:30 p.m., the hayride will venture through the haunted Deadwood Forest and members of the award-winning Wonder Lake Ski Show Team, who are excellent performers both in and out of the water, will dress up to spook the hay riders.
Each hayride lasts for approximately 20 minutes and free parking is available. Admission to this fundraising event is $8 per person, and part of the proceeds from each ticket is donated to local charities. Refreshments are also available for purchase onsite. The Haunted Hayride takes place in Peterson Park, and it’s recommended for children ages 10 and up. For more details, “Like” the Haunted Hayride Wonder Lake Water Ski Show Team on Facebook.
