This Saturday, the Wonder Lake Water Ski Show Team will open their annual Haunted Hayride at Peterson Park. The frightfully fun hayride will run for three weeks starting this Saturday, October 13, and continues on October 19-20 and October 26-27. Children ages 10 and up are invited to attend this event from 7:00 to 10:30 p.m., but for parents with younger children, a special kiddie matinee (not quite so scary) will be held October 20 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Tasty treats and free parking are available.

Roger Gerstad, owner and president of Gerstad Builders, has been a longtime member, boat driver, skier and supporter of the award-winning Ski Team, so this event is near and dear to the Gerstad team. On Monday, October 29, McHenry Parks and Recreation and Duker School invite parents and their young children to attend Halloween Hoopla. Open to children ages two to ten, this safe Halloween event offers music, dance contests, games and simple Halloween crafts. The event is held inside at Duker School from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and is $5 for children and free for adults. Dress you and your child up in your Halloween costumes and join the McHenry County community for this fangtastic event!
