Memorial Day Celebrations Summer is here for McHenry County new homes residents, and it’s time to start the season off the right this Memorial Day weekend. McHenry County is packed full of events that are sure to make your holiday weekend a blast. From parades, to pools and parties you and your friends and family will be going all weekend long. For those who are interested in the history of the day and honoring our fallen heroes, make your way over to the Crystal Lake American Legion Memorial Day parade on Monday, May 28. The parade will begin at 11 a.m. and the route will head north on Williams and west on Woodstock Street, ending at Union Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at the cemetery after the parade is over. If your family wants to attend a parade, but have already made plans on Monday, then don’t sweat it. McHenry County is also hosting a parade on Saturday, May 26 in Huntley, Ill. It will start at the Municipal Complex at 11 a.m. and will conclude with a Memorial Day Celebration in honor of our veterans. This is an event the whole family is sure to enjoy. […]
