Enjoy these Spooktacular Halloween Events in McHenry County
Fall is in full swing and with Halloween right around the corner there are plenty of Halloween activities near your McHenry County new home for the entire family to enjoy. Whether you are looking for frights and thrills or candy and crafts, these events are sure to be Spooktacular! This Saturday, the Wonder Lake Water Ski Show Team will open their annual Haunted Hayride at Peterson Park. The frightfully fun hayride will run for three weeks starting this Saturday, October 13, and continues on October 19-20 and October 26-27. Children ages 10 and up are invited to attend this event from 7:00 to 10:30 p.m., but for parents with younger children, a special kiddie matinee (not quite so scary) will be held October 20 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Tasty treats and free parking are available. Roger Gerstad, owner and president of Gerstad Builders, has been a longtime member, boat driver, skier and supporter of the award-winning Ski Team, so this event is near and dear to the Gerstad team.
