Wonder Lake Water Ski Show Team Hosts Haunted Hayride in McHenry
This October, Petersen Park is undergoing a drastic transformation into McHenry’s scariest forest! Back by popular demand, the Wonder Lake Water Ski Show Team is once again hosting its Haunted Hayride in the park near the new homes at Gerstad Builders’ Liberty Trails community, beginning this Saturday, October 11. Each year, the thrilling adventure draws in crowds by the thousands, serving as a major annual fundraiser for the award-winning show team and several other local charities. Just last month, the Wonder Lake team earned the title of world champion for the second time ever at the world tournament against Australia, China, Belgium, Canada and China. Fortunately for daring Halloween lovers around Chicagoland, these talented performers are excellent at producing thrills off the water, too! Haunted Hayride at Peterson Park in McHenry

The Wonder Lake Water Ski Show Team presents the Haunted Hayride at Peterson Park in McHenry, Illinois on Friday, October 14, Saturday, October 15, Friday, October 21 and Saturday, October 21 from 7 to 10:30 p.m. Admission is $8 per person and a portion of each admission will be donated to local charities. Refreshments are available and parking is free. Villain Henry Deadwood comes in and over takes the Peterson Park of McHenry. He and his unsightly relatives continue to party in the park from dark until dawn causing mayhem for the adjacent neighbors. The local ski team has taken on the challenge to invite the public into park to capture Henry Deadwood. At this point in time, no wagon full of visitors has been able to capture, confine or turn him over the authorities. This narrated ride through the park.
