Fall Diddley Celebrates 29 Years of Crafting Fun this October

Craft lovers in Belvidere are gearing up for another exciting year of hosting Fall Diddley at the Boone County fairgrounds next weekend, only minutes away from The Trails of Dawson Creek at Poplar Grove. As one of Illinois’ largest and most beloved craft fairs, Fall Diddley will welcome more than 350 vendors this year and will draw devoted fans and crowds from all over the state.

Slated for October 11 and 12, this event is sure to be bigger and better than ever, with 20,000 people expected to be in attendance. Hours on Saturday are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Parking is FREE and admission is $6 for attendees over 12-years-old.

Aside from the crisp fall weather and the scenic views of the town, Fall Diddley guests can look forward to celebrating their favorite fair by snacking on delicious food from a variety of vendors, selecting unique hand-crafted items to take home and participating in activities that are fun for the whole family!

Hosted by the Mental Health Resource League (MHRL) for McHenry County, 100 percent of the net proceeds from Fall Diddley will go right back into the community through donations to 19 non-profit agencies and divisions, including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Senior Services Associates of McHenry County, Family Alliance, and Turning Point. As a service-oriented home builder, Gerstad encourages the residents of its new home communities in Poplar Grove and McHenry to come out and enjoy the beautiful fall day while also supporting their neighbors in need.
