It’s that time of year again. From Aug. 3 to Aug. 7, the McHenry County Fair will be in town at the McHenry County Fair Grounds in Woodstock! This is a great opportunity to get out and meet the fellow members of your community. Plus, it’s just minutes from the McHenry County real estate at Liberty Trails.

The McHenry County Fair has everything you would expect and more. Some of the traditional fun events and activities you will find include line dancing, truck/tractor pulls, antique tractor pulls and parade, animal shows, McHenry County Queen contest, bingo, antique and art shows, an antique flea market and live music.

But, you’ll also find unique attractions such as karaoke, puppet shows, martial arts demonstrations, K9 demonstrations, an accordion player and a beer garden.

And, new to the fair this year is a writing contest, garden contest, community showcase tent, Milk-A-Cow booth, a mother-daughter lookalike contest and LogHoggers, nationally recognized chainsaw sculptors. For a complete schedule, visit the McHenry County Fair website.

Daily passes are $6, season passes are $15, children 8 to 12 and senior citizens attend for $3 and children 7 and under are free. However, if you go to the McHenry County Fair website, you can print a coupon to go to the fair on both Wednesday, Aug. 3 and Thursday, Aug. 4 for only $10.

Don’t live in McHenry? No problem. The McHenry County fair is just a short drive from the Richmond new homes at The Trails of Pheasant Ridge.
