City Band Concerts in Woodstock and McHenry Nothing is better than listening to live music outdoors with family and friends during the summer. Known as one of Woodstock’s longest summertime traditions, City Band Concerts and Ice Cream Socials on the Square will kick off June 8. From then on, every Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. in June and July, be sure to bring your blankets and lawn chairs to the Historic Woodstock Square as the City Band performs for FREE for all who attend.

Celebrating its 132nd season of performing, the Woodstock City Band will present eight free concerts throughout the summer and will be complete with locally sponsored ice cream socials, guest artists and soloists, a guest conductor raffle for audience members and a special Independence Day concert on June 29 as we celebrate our great country’s independence.

In addition, McHenry City Band will perform FREE outdoor jazz concerts at Veteran’s Memorial Park in McHenry. They will play every Thursday at 7:30 p.m. through June and July, so there’s plenty of time to catch one of these great performances.
