Support the community by participating in the McHenry Human Race

You don’t have to travel far from your McHenry new homes to make a difference in the world. You can support the human race right in your own backyards. Here at Gerstad Builders, we’d like to invite you out to participate in the 2012 McHenry Human Race on April 15 at McHenry’s corporate park.

Held during National Volunteer Week, The Human Race is a 5K run/walk that brings the community together to support local McHenry nonprofits and charities. Participants have the opportunity to raise money for the charity of their choice. That means you get to decide where you want your money to go. It doesn’t matter if you’re an experienced runner or a casual walker. Everyone is invited to get involved.

All types of nonprofit organizations can be a recipient of the funds including scout troops, civic groups, churches and more. The only requirement is that an organization must be classified as a 501c3 and it has to serve McHenry County.

For a complete list of charities that are currently participating, or to register for the 5K, visit the McHenry Human Race website.

Those who live in the McHenry new homes at Liberty Trails or the Richmond new homes at The Trails of Pheasant Ridge should mark their calendars to participate. Help support your community: sign up today.
